JUNE 2008 - Judith H. Mickey, Administrative Services Manager, has earned certification as a Job and Compensation Analyst (JCA) from the Economic Research Institute. This certification is the only national program available for the training and credentialing of job analysts and compensation specialists. Judi was required to complete 50 JCA credit hours within a year of beginning her first course. Additionally, Judi has received her Benefits Analyst credential (BAC) and the Compensation Analyst credential (CAC) through ERI.

MAY 2005 - Judi Mickey earned certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist in Excel 2003 Expert. The Microsoft Office Specialist certification is the only comprehensive, performance-based certification program approved by Microsoft to validate computer skills. The certificate is a valuable credential recognized worldwide as proof that an individual has the computer skills needed to work more productively and efficiently. To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination of software features.

HRCI awards two levels of certification: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination.
ENTREPRENEUR 2003 AWARD
OCTOBER 2003 - Pennsylvania Business Central, the region's leading business newspaper, recognized Jonna as the winner of its Entrepreneur 2003 Award in the small business category. Pennsylvania Business Central and several area Small Business Development Centers - including centers at Bucknell, Lock Haven, Clarion, St. Francis and Penn State universities, and St. Vincent College - teamed up for the newspaper's Eighth Annual Entrepreneur Awards.
In recognition of her accomplishments, Pennsylvania Business Central and the six small business development centers gave Jonna a plaque and donated $500 to St. Michael Church of St. Michael, PA. The charity was chosen by Ms. Contacos-Sawyer to be the beneficiary of the cash award.
Recipients of this year's awards were individuals who best demonstrated the entrepreneurial spirit at their company or organization, who were actively involved in the communities they served, and had done the most to promote economic development in their community or region. A panel of four judges - Allan Hancock, Paul Silvis, Bob Hickox and Bob Potter - from our 16-county coverage area selected the winners from this year's finalists on the basis of business success and community involvement. The categories for the awards included: Small Business (under 100 employees), Large Business, Non-Profit Organization, and Government/Economic Development Body.
PENNSYLVANIA'S 2003 BEST 50 WOMEN IN BUSINESS AWARD
MAY 2003 - Governor Rendell and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development honored Jonna Contacos-Sawyer on May 12, 2003 at a special reception for the 2003 Best 50 Women in Business. "This is such a wonderful honor," said Contacos-Sawyer, "it's a great networking opportunity to meet other women in business throughout Pennsylvania." The award honors the best 50 women in business in Pennsylvania for their professional accomplishments, community involvement, and influence. It acknowledges and celebrates the many women business leaders and business owners who have helped the Commonwealth create jobs and achieve economic goals. Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business is a program of the Department of Community and Economic Development in association with the business journals of PA and is sponsored by First Union.
CERTIFIED COMPENSATION PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION EARNED
DECEMBER 2002 - Jonna and Polly earned the WorldatWork's Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation by successfully passing a series of nine comprehensive examinations designed to measure an individual's level of knowledge about compensation and total compensation management theory and practice. The CCP is regarded throughout North America as the designation that attests to competency in the areas of expertise that comprise compensation. The CCP program of study covers subject matter such as quantitative analysis, legal compliance, program design and administration, accounting and finance, and strategic planning. Beyond initial certification, WorldatWork encourages ongoing education through the Certification Maintenance Program, which recognizes practicing professionals who remain abreast of new trends and technologies.
WorldatWork is the professional association for compensation, benefits, and total rewards. WorldatWork (formerly ACA) is a not-for-profit association with more than 25,000 members who are engaged in the design, implementation, and management of employee compensation and benefits programs in their respective organizations. CERTIFIED MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT DESIGNATION EARNED
SEPTEMBER 2002 - Jonna earned the distinction of Certified Management Consultant (CMC) by the Institute of Management Consultants, USA, Inc. (IMC USA). At this time, less than 1% of the consultants in the United States are recognized by the CMC designation. There are only 10,000 CMC's worldwide in 32 countries. IMC USA is the United States representative to the prestigious International Council of Management Consulting Institutes.
The CMC designation is awarded to select consultants who have demonstrated a history of substantive results for clients, demonstrated adherence to the IMC USA Code of Ethics, and engaged in professional practice management. CMC's are acknowledged as leading experts in their fields, with track records of significant accomplishments as a result of their consulting engagements. According to IMC USA's National Board Chair, Michael Shays, CMC, FIMC, "Clients who choose to use the services of CMC's can be assured with the knowledge that the consulting resource they've chosen has passed the toughest certification in the profession, and must maintain that degree of performance through periodic recertification."
